Connection.
Intimacy.
Inspiration.
A space to meet and connect.
A space that is both inviting and inspiring.
A space that is close by, yet transports you somewhere new.
Such a place is rare indeed, yet that is exactly what you will find at The Pearl of Amsterdam.
Nestled along the enchanting Prinsengracht, between the Vijzelgracht and the Nieuwe Spiegelgracht, Gemma’s gallery feels like a hidden sanctuary in the heart of the city. From the outside, unmistakably Amsterdam. Once inside, a world of its own.
Housed in an intimate souterrain, the gallery presents a curated exposition of works by Gemma Leys. Art is not simply displayed here; it surrounds you, invites you in, and gently shifts your perspective.
Step further and you will discover something truly special: a warm inner courtyard garden, filled with cozy corners and inviting seating areas, places where conversations linger, ideas unfold, and time seems to soften. Hidden within the garden, you’ll even find a small studio, adding yet another layer of charm and creativity to the space.
Connection. Intimacy. Inspiration.
Whether you gather to work, celebrate, reflect, dine, or simply connect, The Pearl of Amsterdam offers an atmosphere that feels both personal and elevated. It is a place to pause. To create. To share.
And above all, to experience art, not as something distant, but as something lived.

Gemma Leys
Behind The Pearl of Amsterdam stand two passionate women.
Gemma Leys is the artist, the creative force whose work shapes the atmosphere and soul of the space. Emmelien is the strategic mind and marketing heart behind the concept, as well as a devoted home chef who loves bringing people together around the table. It might just be Emmelien herself who prepares and hosts one of your evenings here.
At The Pearl of Amsterdam, no request is the same. Every gathering is approached with care, creativity and attention to detail, always searching for the perfect match between guest and space.
Would you like to host a meeting accompanied by a beautifully prepared lunch? An intimate seated dinner for sixteen guests? Or perhaps a summer birthday celebration in the garden, welcoming eighty guests for a walking dinner with drinks and shared bites?
At The Pearl of Amsterdam, the possibilities are endless, and every experience is thoughtfully curated.
